Self-Supported Tower Installation in Houston Substation
This project required the installation of a 360 ft. self-supported tower with a wind rating of 135 mph designed for private wireless and microwave communications inside an existing substation in the Houston, TX, area.
Full scope included installing engineered piers measuring 7 ft. wide by 74 ft. deep, ground ring system, erecting the tower, fence work, installing waveguide ladder, climbing ladder, safety climb cable, lighting rod, tower alarm, and FAA beacon lighting, conduit, and wiring. Front Line has completed dozens of similar towers in the greater Houston area.
